Using "trusted authentication" to connect to SharePoint and SQL Server

Using trusted authentication, to connect to a SharePoint site or SQL server database, can cause some confusion.

If "Trusted authentication" is used to connect to a SharePoint site or SQL database, the credentials used by SQList in the background are those under which the "SQList service" runs, not those under which you are currently logged in.

For that reason, it can happen that the "Test connection" from SQList Manager is successful (because it uses the credentials you are currently logged in with), but when the service runs you get authentication errors.

Please ensure that the service's credentials have the right access to both the SharePoint site and SQL database you want to connect or, alternatively, you could use a Windows or SQL Server user instead.
